The Bad Batch (s3e15)

This week on Bottom of the Stream we are talking about 2016’s “The Bad Batch” directed by Ana Lily Amirpour and starring Suki Waterhouse; Jason Momoa; Jim Carrey and Keanu Reeves. This is a Mad Max influenced, dystopian, desert set drama and is a memorable movie in more ways than one. Listen on to find out what we thought of this one. Time out (s3e13)

This week on Bottom of the Stream we are talking about “Time Out” (released as “Furlough” in the USA). Starring Tessa Thompson; Oscar winner Melissa Leo; Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg and Oscar winner Anna Paquin - what could go wrong?! This 2018 movie is a comedy/drama telling the story of a prison guard accompanying a prisoner to visit her mother for one last time. Listen on to find out what we thought. It’s an interview special as we have the pleasure of talking to Sam Ashurov and Raza Rizvi; co-writers and directors of “I’ll Never Forget my High School Friends”, a comedy/drama/coming of age tale surrounding a group of friends as they move away from their hometown toward college. This is the first feature for both guys and is available to watch on Amazon Prime. We talk to Sam and Raza amongst other things about some of the challenges they faced whilst making the movie; what they have learned from the experience and what’s next for the duo. Enjoy!

Mute (s3e8)

This week on Bottom of the Stream we are talking about “Mute”, a Netflix original movie from 2018 directed by Duncan Jones. This one stars Alexander Skarsgard and Paul Rudd and follows a mute bar man searching through futuristic Berlin for his missing girlfriend, it took a mauling from critics on release, let’s see if time has been kinder to this one since! Also this week we have the usual Netflix news, what we have been watching at the top of the stream, chest hair news from Nick and most importantly, an update on Adam’s quest to survive on a desert island in Stranded Deep.

Thoroughbreds (s3e7)
